01062008 - Charity Dinner Musical Concert

GG is taking up the charity project where we help ESCC (Early Steps Care Centre / Pertubuhan Pusat Penyayang Langkah Awal) offer Dinner Voucher for you to attend a wonderful Full-course Chinese Dinner and at the same time, enjoy a pleasant night with the talented Women's Concert Choir, flying all the way from Chicago, USA.

You may participate in this through buying the dinner voucher (RM100 per seat) or just any amount of cash donation without the dinner. Please contact Ms.Jowynne (60172193377 or jowynne@iasahome.org) to purchase your dinner voucher or arrange on donations. Receipt will be issued by ESCC for your tax deduction.

This event is open to both female and male.

Thank you for all those that able to support and join us at our first networking dinner - dispite the rain and the traffic! We have more than the target - 60+ GG turn out.

The 2 gorgeous speakers - Pn Yasmin Mahmood, MD of Microsoft Malaysia and Ms Anne Abraham, Country Manager of SAP Malaysia, truely inspired us on the topic Woman of Today vs Woman of Tomorrow.

The panal discussion hosted by Christy Lee with Yasmin, Anne, Eliza and LC as the panelists excited the crowd with encouragement. All the gorgeous geeks are truely touched and comforted that there are so many others that shared the same experiences in career, family and life.

We also found quite number of potential speakers and mentors for our future events ;> Do support the Gorgeous Geeks by sharing your ideas, encouraging more girl geeks to join us, volunteering as speakers, mentor or helper, as well as, be a sponsor/help to get sponsors for events/ gifts.

In here, we also like to thank Microsoft Malaysia as the sponsor for the event and for the lucky draws. Looking forward for more corporate to support us in the future. Do join us in our upcoming event!

The group VISION is to inspire IT girl geeks to identify and realize their full potential while achieving a balanced lifestyle.

The group MISSION is to create an open environment that promotes learning, sharing, mentoring as well as providing support for IT girl geeks to grow and contribute.

The group ACTIVITIES is to organize quarterly meet-up such as forum or workshop to discuss on various woman or IT related topics. Future plan includes provide mentoring support on-line.
